Abstract: This research investigated the benefits of mindfulness-based practices in early childhood education. The objectives were to: (1) identify the effects of mindfulness on children's emotional regulation, (2) evaluate its impact on attention span and concentration, and (3) explore the role of mindfulness in reducing anxiety and stress among preschool children. A survey design was chosen to collect comprehensive data from educators and parents about their experiences and observations of mindfulness practices in early childhood settings. A sample size of 120 preschool educators and parents was selected through purposive sampling to ensure participants had direct involvement with mindfulness activities. The case study was conducted in preschools in Lagos State, Nigeria. Findings revealed that mindfulness practices significantly improved children's emotional regulation, increased their attention span, and reduced anxiety levels. Participants reported that children were calmer, more focused, and better able to manage their emotions. It was recommended that early childhood education curricula incorporate mindfulness activities to enhance children's emotional and cognitive well-being, and that training programs for educators include mindfulness techniques to support their implementation in classrooms.
